Music Stars Radio Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 19, 2026
Music Stars Radio respects the privacy of listeners, artists and visitors. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal information in connection with musicstarsradio.com, our online radio station, on-demand music, Artist Studio, embeddable players and related services that link to this policy.
“Music Stars Radio,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Music Max Publishing LLC, which operates Music Stars Radio.
1. Information Covered by This Policy
This policy covers personal information collected through our website, accounts, Artist Studio, embedded players and your communications with Music Stars Radio.
Other companies may operate linked websites, social networks, or sites that embed our player. Their privacy policies govern information they collect independently.
2. Information You Give Us
The information we receive depends on how you use Music Stars Radio.
Accounts. When you create an account we receive your email address, a password (stored only in protected, hashed form by our authentication provider) or your sign-in through Google, and the display name and profile picture you choose.
Artist profiles and uploads. If you use Artist Studio we receive your artist name, biography, avatar, banner and links; the recordings, artwork, titles, genres, tags, descriptions and release dates you upload; your answers to the upload questionnaire; and rights information such as songwriters, splits, performing rights organization (PRO), IPI, ISRC and ISWC numbers. Rights information is kept private and is not shown on public pages.
Community activity. When you follow artists, like or repost tracks, create playlists, post timed comments or report content, we store that activity with your account.
Payments. If you subscribe to a paid plan, card details are entered into a secure form provided by our payment processor, NMI, and go directly to them. We never receive or store your full card number. We keep your plan, billing status, renewal dates and transaction references.
Questions and correspondence. When you use our contact form, email us or ask for help, we receive your contact details, message and any attachments.
Business inquiries. If you contact us about advertising, sponsorships, interviews or other business opportunities, we receive the information you provide to discuss and manage that relationship.
Please avoid sending sensitive personal information, such as government identification numbers, financial account credentials or medical records, unless we specifically request it through an appropriate process.
3. Information Collected When You Visit or Listen
Our hosting, database, streaming and security providers process technical information needed to deliver pages, play audio, keep the service reliable and investigate problems. This can include:
- Your IP address and approximate location derived from it.
- Browser type, operating system, device type and language.
- Pages requested, referring pages, and access dates and times.
- Playback activity: which tracks you play, how long you listen, playback errors and your recent listening history (signed-in listeners).
- For embedded players on other websites, the domain of the website where the play happened.
- Identifiers stored in your browser that keep you signed in and remember preferences (see Section 7).
Play and radio-spin counts are used for charts, artist statistics and earnings estimates. Live radio is broadcast through our radio streaming system, which receives connection information when your device connects to the stream.
4. How We Use Information
We use personal information, as relevant to your interaction with us, to:
- Provide the website, live radio, on-demand playback, accounts and Artist Studio.
- Process subscriptions, renewals, cancellations and refunds, and apply plan limits.
- Review uploads for radio airplay and check recordings for copyright matches.
- Calculate play counts, charts, artist statistics, estimated earnings and royalty reporting.
- Recommend related tracks for autoplay and show feeds of artists you follow.
- Send notifications and emails you have chosen in your notification settings.
- Respond to messages, requests and support inquiries.
- Manage advertising, sponsorship and other business relationships.
- Detect misuse, enforce our rules, handle reports, investigate technical issues and protect our services.
- Maintain necessary business records and meet legal obligations.
Uploading music does not automatically subscribe you to promotional emails.
5. Artist Materials and Public Information
Materials you publish are shown publicly. This includes your artist name, profile, recordings, titles, artwork, descriptions, genres and tags, and, where you allow it, play counts, comments, downloads and embedding. Public comments, playlists and reposts show your display name.
Tracks you mark as private, scheduled tracks before release, and items shared only through a private link are not listed publicly or in search engines. Anyone who has a private link can play the item, so share it carefully; you can reset or turn off a link at any time.
This policy explains how we handle personal information. Permission to broadcast, reproduce or otherwise use a recording is covered by our Terms of Service and the rights confirmation you give when uploading.
6. When Information Is Disclosed
We may disclose relevant information in the following circumstances:
Service providers. Companies that help us run Music Stars Radio process information on our behalf, including:
- Website hosting, database, file storage and authentication (Lovable Cloud and its infrastructure providers).
- Payment processing (NMI).
- Radio broadcasting and station automation (our AzuraCast radio server).
- Copyright scanning of uploaded recordings (ACRCloud), which receives the audio file to compare against its music database.
- AI features: when an artist asks for genre, tag or description suggestions, the track and its details are sent to an AI model provider through the Lovable AI Gateway; our Star AI help chat sends your questions to the same service.
- Email delivery for account and notification emails.
- Google, if you choose to sign in with Google.
Your instructions. We disclose information when you ask us to or authorize a particular use, such as publishing your artist profile or sharing a private link.
Music licensing and reporting. Where required by our licensing arrangements or law, we provide playback records and related rights information to performing rights organizations, licensing bodies or rights administrators, limited to what the reporting requires.
Legal and safety matters. We may disclose information to meet a legal obligation, respond to valid legal process, investigate suspected wrongdoing, handle copyright complaints, or protect people, systems and legal rights.
Business transfers. Information may be reviewed or transferred during a proposed or completed sale, reorganization or transfer of the business, subject to applicable privacy requirements.
No sale or targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.
Advertising (draft, to be reviewed). Free accounts and visitors may see clearly labelled “Ad” or “Sponsored” placements. Listener Premium, Artist Pro and staff accounts never see ads. Ads are chosen on our own servers using the page you are viewing, its genre, your approximate country/region (from your connection), device type and time of day. To count views and clicks and to limit how often you see the same ad, we keep a one-way, daily-rotating code derived from your account or connection; it can’t identify you to advertisers. We use no third-party ad networks, trackers or advertising cookies, and advertisers receive only aggregate totals (impressions, clicks and spend). If you become an advertiser, we keep your business profile, campaigns and payment records to run and bill your ads; card details are handled by our payment processor and never reach our servers.
7. Cookies, Browser Storage and Embedded Services
We use your browser’s storage only for functions you need: keeping you signed in, remembering settings such as autoplay and player preferences, and remembering layout choices. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels; ad counting is first-party only.
Our hosting provider may record basic, aggregated visit statistics (such as page views and referring sites) to help us understand website traffic and performance.
When our player is embedded on another website, that website and its own tools may collect information under their own policies. Links to social networks and other sites are governed by those services.
You can clear or block browser storage in your browser settings. Doing so will sign you out and may reset your preferences. If we introduce optional tracking in the future, we will ask for consent where the law requires it before using it.
8. Email and Notification Preferences
You can choose which notifications you receive in the app and by email from your account settings, and you can stop emails using the unsubscribe link in any message or by contacting us.
Unsubscribing does not stop necessary messages about your account, security, billing or an existing business relationship.
9. How Long We Keep Information
We keep personal information for as long as reasonably needed for its purpose, taking account of legal requirements, unresolved disputes and security needs. For example:
- Account information is kept while your account is open. When an account is deleted, it is hidden immediately and permanently erased after 30 days, during which it can be restored on request.
- Uploads, artwork and rights information are kept while they remain in your account; replaced audio versions may be kept with their copyright and rights records.
- Billing and payment records are kept as required for accounting, tax and legal purposes, even after an account is deleted.
- A record of administrative account actions is kept for security and accountability, even after an account is erased.
- Correspondence is kept as needed to address the request and related follow-up.
- Star AI help conversations are not saved by us after your visit ends.
- Technical records are kept for operational, security and troubleshooting needs.
When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it no longer identifiable. Copies in backups may remain until those backups are replaced through the normal cycle.
10. Protecting Information
We use safeguards appropriate to the information we handle, including encrypted connections, access controls that limit each account to its own private data, private storage for audio and artwork, short-lived playback links, and card handling by our payment processor rather than our servers.
No online service can guarantee complete security. Please avoid including unnecessary confidential information in messages, uploads or comments.
11. Your Privacy Choices and Rights
You can update your profile, email, password and notification settings in My Account. Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may also have the right to:
- Ask whether we hold personal information about you and request access to it.
- Request corrections to inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of your information or account, subject to legal exceptions.
- Obtain certain information in a portable format.
- Restrict or object to certain uses.
- Withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
- Appeal a decision about a privacy request, where applicable.
To make a request, email support@musicstarsradio.com with what you are asking for and enough detail for us to find your records. We may need to verify your identity, or an authorized representative’s authority, before acting.
We will respond within the period required by applicable law. If we cannot fulfill a request, we will explain why and any appeal process. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
12. Additional Information for EU, EEA and UK Visitors
This section applies where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018, or the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection applies to our processing. The data controller is Music Stars Radio, operated by Music Max Publishing LLC; contact us at support@musicstarsradio.com for any data protection question.
Our legal bases for processing (GDPR Article 6) include:
- Performing our agreement with you, such as providing your account, subscription, playback and uploads.
- Legitimate interests, such as operating and protecting the station, copyright checks, preventing abuse and fake plays, responding to correspondence and improving reliability, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Consent, where required for optional emails, non-essential cookies or similar technologies, or other activities.
- Legal obligations, such as keeping required financial and tax records, royalty reporting and responding to lawful requests.
Under these laws you have the right to:
- Access your personal data and receive a copy (Article 15).
- Have inaccurate data rectified (Article 16).
- Have your data erased (Article 17), subject to legal exceptions.
- Restrict processing (Article 18).
- Receive data you provided in a structured, machine-readable format and have it transmitted to another controller (Article 20).
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests, and object to direct marketing at any time (Article 21).
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier lawful processing.
- Not be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects (Article 22).
You may object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your situation, and you may object to direct marketing at any time.
Automated processing. Uploads are automatically scanned for copyrighted material and may be held privately until the scan is clear. Charts and recommendations are generated automatically. None of these produce legal effects on you, and a person reviews copyright holds on appeal. Star AI answers are automated and are not used to make decisions about you.
Responses. We respond to requests within one month, which may be extended by two further months for complex or numerous requests, as the law allows. Requests are free unless manifestly unfounded or excessive.
Children. Where a member state sets an age of digital consent above 13 (up to 16), users below that age need parental consent for processing based on consent.
Complaints. You may lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority in the EU/EEA country where you live, work or where an alleged infringement occurred, or with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk). We would appreciate the chance to address your concern first.
Data breaches. Where required, we notify the competent supervisory authority within 72 hours of becoming aware of a personal data breach, and affected people without undue delay when there is a high risk to them.
13. Processing Across Borders
Music Stars Radio is operated from the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries whose privacy laws differ from yours.
Where the law requires protections for an international transfer, we rely on an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism, such as standard contractual clauses. Contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your information.
14. Children’s Privacy
Music Stars Radio is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and children under 13 may not create an account.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where required. Where local law requires parental permission for an older child, that requirement also applies.
15. Other Websites and Social Networks
Links to artist pages, advertisers, social networks and other websites lead to services operated by others, whose own policies govern their use of information.
Information you post publicly on a social network may be visible to its other users. Contact that provider to manage information it holds.
16. Policy Updates
We may revise this policy as our services or practices change. The revised version will appear on this page with an updated effective date. Where required, we will give additional notice or ask for consent before a change affects how previously collected information is used.
